Explained: Burning money at funerals

In some religions (mix of Taoism, Buddhism and folklore) it is a tradition to burn fake money for the dead. It symbolizes the means for the deceased to have anything they need in the afterlife. And Tankhun being Tankhun, meaning being extra has not only fake money but also a whole paper ATM ready to burn for Pete. Some shops also offer different paper items that can be burned – clothes, favorite food, electronics, toiletries or even pets. Here Tankhun went with paper figurines of Pete’s friends.
