Quote References & Callbacks
The quote “Hello there” is famous among Star Wars fans as it is repeated multiple times throughout the saga. The line got famous in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, when Obi-Wan was greeting General Grievous. It was a nod to Alec Guinness’ Obi-Wan, he says the line to R2D2 – it’s his first line in the movie. Last time the quote was heard was in the Clone Wars series, where General Grievous says “Hello there” to Obi-Wan.
Hello there.
General Kenobi!
Let’s be honest. They added that for the memes.
I was half expecting Luke to respond “General Kenobi.” Do they do bloopers? That would be awesome.
There were a lot of memes after the episode aired. That is my favorite part about the Star Wars fandom – the memes! 😊
And we almost thought he won’t say it! Though truth be told, I was expecting him to drop the hello there on Vader.
