Jorah Mormont: The ironborn thought you were some kind of god, the way you were waving that flaming sword. I thought you were the bravest man I ever saw.
Thoros of Myr: Just the drunkest.
Daenerys Targaryen: You look strong. You found a cure?
Jorah Mormont: I wouldn't be here if I hadn't. I return to your service, my queen, if you'll have me.
Daenerys Targaryen: It would be my honor.
Daenerys Targaryen: I banished you twice. You came back twice. And you saved my life. So I can't take you back and I can't send you away.
Jorah Mormont: You must send me away.
Daenerys Targaryen: Is there a cure?
Jorah Mormont: I don't know.
Daenerys Targaryen: How long does it take?
Jorah Mormont: I don't know that either. But I've seen what happens when it goes far enough. I'll end things before that.
Daario Naharis: Isn't it frustrating wanting someone who doesn't want you back?
Jorah Mormont: Of course it is.
Daario Naharis: You're a romantic. I admire that. Sometimes I look at you and I think, "So that's what I'll be like when I grow old."
Jorah Mormont: If you grow old.
Daario Naharis: If I grow old. I hope I do. I want to see what the world looks like when she's done conquering it.
Jorah Mormont: So do I.
Daenerys Targaryen: How can I rule seven kingdoms if I can't control Slaver's Bay? Why should anyone trust me? Why should anyone follow me?
Jorah Mormont: You're a Targaryen. You're the Mother of Dragons.
Daenerys Targaryen: I need to be more than that. I will not let those I have freed slide back into chains. I will not sail for Westeros.
Jorah Mormont: What, then?
Daenerys Targaryen: I will do what queens do. I will rule.
Jorah Mormont: Taking this city will not bring you any closer to Westeros or the Iron Throne.
Daenerys Targaryen: How many slaves are there in Yunkai?
Jorah Mormont: 200,000, if not more.
Daenerys Targaryen: Then we have 200,000 reasons to take the city.
Jorah Mormont: Khaleesi, a dragon is worth more than any army.
Barristan Selmy: Aegon Targaryen proved that.
Daenerys Targaryen: You're both here to advise me. I value your advice, but if you ever question me in front of strangers again, you'll be advising someone else. Is that understood?
Jorah Mormont (to Daenerys): You have a good claim. A title. A birthright. But you have something more than that. You may cover it up and deny it, but you have a gentle heart. You would not only be respected and feared, you would be loved. Someone who can rule and should rule. Centuries come and go without a person like that coming into the world. There are times when I look at you and still can't believe you're real.
Jorah Mormont: They don't like the idea of a woman leading a Khalasar.
Daenerys Targaryen: They will like it far less when I am done with them.
Daenerys Targaryen: No one will take my dragons.
Jorah Mormont: They are too weak to fight, as are your people. You must be their strength.
Daenerys Targaryen: As you are mine.
Jorah Mormont (to Daenerys): Don't ask me to stand aside as you climb on that pyre. I won't watch you burn.
Jorah Mormont: Forgive me, Khaleesi, but your ancestor Aegon the Conqueror didn't seize six of the kingdoms because they were his right. He had no right to them. He seized them because he could.
Daenerys Targaryen: And because he had dragons.
Jorah Mormont: Ah well, having a few dragons makes things easier.
Jorah Mormont (to Daenerys): The Dothraki have two things in abundance: Grass and horses. People can't live on grass. In the Shadow Lands beyond Asshai, they say there are fields of ghost grass with stalks as pale as milk that glow in the night. It murders all other grass. The Dothraki believe that one day it will cover everything - that's the way the world will end.
