Doctor: Rose, you've done it, now stop. Just let go!
Rose Tyler: How can I let go of this? I bring life. (brings back Jack)
Doctor: But this is wrong! You can't control life and death!
Rose Tyler: But I can. The sun and the moon, the day and night. But why do they hurt?
Doctor: The power's gonna kill you. And it's my fault!
Doctor: What have you done?
Rose Tyler: I looked into the Tardis. And the Tardis looked into me.
Doctor: You looked into the time vortex. Rose, no one's meant to see that.
Rose Tyler: I am the Bad Wolf. I create myself. I take the words... I scatter them in time and space. A message to lead myself here.
Doctor: Rose, you've got to stop this! You've got to stop this now! You've got the entire vortex running through your head. You're gonna burn!
Rose Tyler: I want you safe. My Doctor. Protected from the false god.
Dalek: You cannot hurt me! I am immortal!
Rose Tyler: You are tiny. I can see the whole of time and space. Every single atom of your existence and I divide them. Everything must come to dust. All things. Everything dies. (makes the Daleks disappear) The Time War ends.
Dalek: I will not die! I cannot die!
(Doctor has sent Rose home, she is now alone in the TARDIS...)
Doctor (hologram): This is Emergency Program One. Rose, now listen, this is important. If this message is activated then it can only mean one thing. We must be in danger. And I mean fatal. I'm dead or about to die any second with no chance of escape.
Rose Tyler: No!
Doctor: And that's okay. Hope it's a good death. But I promised to look after you and that's what I'm doing. The Tardis is taking you home.
Rose Tyler: I won't let you!
Doctor: And I bet you're fussing and moaning now. Typical! But hold on and just listen a bit more. The Tardis can never return for me. Emergency Program One means I'm facing an enemy that should never get their hands on this machine. So this is what you should do, let the Tardis die. Just let this old box gather dust. No one can open it, no one will even notice it. Let it become a strange little thing standing on a street corner. And over the years the world will move on and the box will be buried. And if you want to remember me, then you can do one thing. That's all. One thing. Have a good life. Do that for me, Rose. Have a fantastic life.
Mickey Smith: Wait, the Tardis, you can't just leave it. Doesn't it get noticed?
Jack Harkness: Yeah, what's with the police box? Why does it look like that?
Rose Tyler: It's a cloaking device.
Doctor: It's called a chameleon circuit. The Tardis is meant to disguise itself wherever it lands. Like, if this was ancient Rome, it'd be a statue on a plinth or something. But I landed in the 1960s, it disguised itself as a police box and the circuit got stuck.
Mickey Smith: So, it copied a real thing? There actually was police boxes?
Doctor: Yeah, on street corners. You could phone for help before they had radios and mobiles. If they arrested somebody, they could shove them inside till help came. Like a little prison cell.
Jack Harkness: Why don't you just fix the circuit?
Doctor: I like it, don't you?
Rose Tyler: I love it.
Mickey Smith: But that's what I meant, there's no police boxes anymore so doesn't it get noticed?
Doctor: Ricky, let me tell you something about the human race. You put a mysterious blue box slap-bang in the middle of town, what do they do? Walk past it. Now, stop your nagging, let's go and explore.
Jack Harkness (about a soldier): Trust me, you're not his type. I'll distract him. Don't wait up.
Doctor: Relax. He's a 51st century guy. He's just a bit more flexible when it comes to dancing.
Rose Tyler: How flexible?
Doctor: By his time, you lot are spread out across half the galaxy.
Rose Tyler: Meaning?
Doctor: So many species, so little time.
Rose Tyler: What, that's what we do when we get out there? That's our mission? We seek new life and... and...
